We are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of integrity by partnering with business lines to ensure our operations adhere to key regulatory requirements, enabling the company to innovate responsibly in the real estate market.<p></p><h2><span>About the role</span></h2><p><span>As a Compliance Analyst, you will support Zillow’s mortgage compliance control testing program by executing file-level control testing of mortgage origination activities directly in Zillow’s loan origination system. Working closely with Compliance, Legal, and business partners, you’ll ensure our mortgage operations remain compliant with federal and state regulations. This role offers a great opportunity to modernize compliance testing and develop your career within an innovative, fast-paced, collaborative team.</span></p><p></p><p><b>You Will Get To:</b></p><ul><li><p><span>Execute end-to-end compliance control testing activities, including planning scope, drafting test procedures, determining sample selection, executing test plans, and recording results across the mortgage lifecycle.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Produce clear and accurate documentation of sampling logic, test steps, evidence, and preliminary findings.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Partner with senior Compliance team members to develop corrective action plans and conduct effectiveness validation (targeted re-testing) to ensure successful issue remediation.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Maintain and enhance testing templates, tracking tools, and shared documentation to ensure consistency and quality.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Leverage data and simple analytics to target samples, detect anomalies, and quantify issues for more actionable findings.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Pilot responsible LLM/AI automation, with human review, to improve the accuracy, consistency, and efficiency of compliance testing processes.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Leverage your knowledge of federal and state mortgage regulations to participate in risk assessment discussions that support the annual control testing plan.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p></p>This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.<p></p><p></p>In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $33.90 - $54.10 hourly. This base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations.&#xa;&#xa;In Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Vermont the standard base pay range for this role is $32.20 - $51.40 hourly. The base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations.<p></p><p></p>In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. Employees in this role will not be paid below the salary threshold for exempt employees in the state where they reside.<p></p><h2><span>Who you are</span></h2><ul><li><p><span>Demonstrates a solid understanding of key mortgage lending regulations and how they show up in testing, including TILA, RESPA, TRID, ECOA, HMDA, and FCRA requirements.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Executes methodical end-to-end testing with strong attention to detail and ability to organize and document information clearly.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Uses basic data and analytics to target samples, identify inconsistencies, and escalate potential compliance risks appropriately.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Communicates clearly with Compliance, Legal, and business line partners to promote a shared understanding of identified gaps, root causes, and potential corrective action plans.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Works effectively under supervision and welcomes feedback as part of professional growth.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Brings curiosity and a proactive mindset to learning new systems and compliance technologies.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Has a foundational understanding of AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), with an interest in applying AI and automation responsibly to streamline compliance testing processes.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Has 2–3 years of experience in a compliance, audit, or risk-related role.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><h2><span>Get to know us</span></h2><p>At Zillow, we’re reimagining how people move—through the real estate market and through their careers.
