About the position

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Coaching
  • Partner with HR to recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing Sales Engineers focused on market share growth
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to instill urgency and relentlessness in the team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and customer-centric selling
  • Sales Execution & Field Engagement
  • Actively participate in joint sales calls with Sales Engineers to support complex opportunities and build customer trust
  • Ensure alignment with Lenze’s strategic initiatives and product positioning
  • Performance Management
  • Define and implement KPIs to drive sales growth, including metrics for new customer acquisition, wallet share expansion, and pipeline velocity
  • Monitor team performance against targets and adjust strategies as needed
  • Use CRM tools to track activity, forecast revenue, and report progress to senior leadership
  • Strategic Planning & Market Development
  • Develop regional sales strategies that align with Lenze’s market attack plans and growth objectives
  • Work with Business Development team to identify high-potential OEMs and strategic accounts for targeted engagement
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, and Business Development to refine go-to-market approaches
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Sales Engineers, Application Engineers, and Inside Sales to deliver complete customer centric solutions
  • Coordinate with industry segment managers to align regional efforts with vertical-specific strategies
  • Support product launches and feedback loops to improve market fit

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required or related experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or regional sales management role within automation, or motion control sectors
  • Minimum of 3+ years management experience, directly leading sales team
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire sales teams toward aggressive growth goals
  • Ability to coach technical sales professionals and translate complex solutions into business value
  • High initiative, adaptability, and strategic thinking
  • Experience setting and managing KPIs, sales forecasts, and territory plans
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical mindset to assess market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning
  • Bold, proactive, and results-driven with a relentless focus on execution
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within region including overnight stays (headquarters located in Uxbridge, MA)
