Remote- Sales Representative - Full Time ID-8774

U-Haul is seeking dedicated, energized professionals to work remotely (work from home) who handle high volume, back-to-back inbound calls, matching U-Haul products and services with Customer needs. Sales & Reservations Agents work within defined guidelines, including following a script and advisories, to facilitate a seamless and efficient Reservation process and Customer journey. Sales experience is preferred but not required.

Compensation:

Earn hourly base pay of $13.00 plus discretionary sales bonus, with the potential to earn $17.00-$20.00 per hour and the opportunity for base pay merit increases based on performance (Note: Hourly base pay rate may be higher, depending on state or local minimum wage laws).

Scheduling:

  • Available to work 40 hours per week, Monday - Sunday with a primary focus of Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM (Arizona time).

  • Available to work at least one weekend day per week. Priority will be given when providing availability on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday.

  • Working holidays is required to provide support for Customers year-round. On said holidays, scheduling outside your availability to meet business needs may be required.

Initial Education/Training:

Our paid, comprehensive, three-week education program is fast paced and builds upon your existing skill set to prepare you to independently serve U-Haul Customers. Education includes Instructor-led class discussions, role-play, games, simulations, videos, and e-learning modules through U-Haul University. Our Instructors have all been on the front-line in this role and therefore relate to new Agents and will help support and prepare you as you begin to perform your job duties, including taking live Customer calls the first week.

Minimum Experience:

  • One year of Customer Service or Sales experience in a retail setting/environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including a clear speaking voice, excellent verbal communication, and active listening.

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and efficiently navigate multiple business software applications.

  • Successful completion of a job-related assessment.

Work From Home Requirements:

  • All work duties, including initial education, must be performed at your home address in a private, quiet workspace.

  • Dependent and/or child-care arrangements must be made as if you are working in-person in an office environment. This position does not allow flexibility to be on-call care for others during work hours.

  • A personal home computer which meets the technical requirements (below) to be used during the application process and to perform your job duties.

Physical Demands:

The work involves light physical exertion, including sitting for long periods, focusing on a computer screen, and taking phone calls using a wired headset.
