Foot Locker is hiring a Sr. Director - Leasing to join the Real Estate team. The Sr. Director - Leasing will manage, guide, and direct all real estate holdings over the life of the store for Foot Locker, Inc. within the regional areas assigned. Our North America Team is structured by region, so each team member is responsible for having an intimate knowledge of their region's malls & high streets, landlords, competition, and sales potential.

We are the liaisons and brand ambassadors for Foot Locker to the retail real estate community. As our organization continues to evolve with our ever-changing customer, the Sr. Director, Leasing must be innovative, forward thinking and have the ability to quickly adapt to new situations and market trends.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, guide, and direct all real estate holdings for both yourself and direct reports over the life of the store for Foot Locker, Inc. within the regional areas assigned
  • Generate and Maintain Strategic Plan
  • Control Landlord negotiations and communications ensuring the optimum Real Estate location, construction, and tenancy deal for Foot Locker, Inc.
  • Administer written Landlord communications from initial offering to finalization of lease ensuring the deal is delivered as negotiated
  • Facilitate constructive landlord relationship with Foot Locker, Inc
  • Management of deal presentation to division/corporate according to Foot Locker, Inc.'s standard operating procedures
  • Manage, recommend, and negotiate solutions for the Company's Loss Store Program
  • Select profitable and strategic locations that meet company standards and result in fulfillment of new store target expectations
  • Manage the process with Construction and Legal so that approved stores are opened on time and delivered in the manner presented
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree or higher
  • 10 years+ leasing experience with a national or regional Retail and/or Landlord Leasing organization in both mall and non mall real estate
  • Proven record of managerial responsibilities/leadership positions
  • Minimum of 60 transactions over the previous 2 years
  • Superior negotiation skills
  • Self motivated with a demonstrated experience working in a team environment as well as working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Understanding of all lease contract points
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Strong follow through from initial landlord contact to finalization of the real estate deal
  • Flexibility with rapidly changing corporate / divisional priorities
  • Ability to travel for market studies, landlord visits, corporate meetings, site selections
  • Understanding and familiarity of standard ICSC practices

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $175,000 - $195,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short and long term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
