The Opportunity: You will bring your expertise in Waldorf recognized pedagogy (art, storytelling, felt, etc) for a term (average 6-10 weeks) to help supplement a small group ofMontessori teachers.

About the School: Marinela Holistic Education, opened in December 2024, as a place where children, parents, and teachers create a community built on respect, wisdom, and a love for life and the natural world. Our newly renovated building is set among 35+ acres on the West side of Barbados sloping gently uphill from the beach. An abundance of natural beauty and peace surround our school and we see this setting as integral to the children’s development.

  • We have started as a small learning community with 6-8 learners ages 18 months - 6 years. We expect to grow to 10-12 learners (between both a toddler program and 3-6 years program this April)
  • Our team currently consists of our Head of School, Spanish and music teacher, karate, tennis, and swim instructor, and Montessori age 3-6 lead guides.

We are looking for experienced Waldorf teachers who:

  • Have over 3+ years experience working in a Waldorf educational setting
  • Have a unique set of skills they can share with an experienced group of Montessori educators to infuse the best of Waldorf practices.
  • Are excellent communicators and native English speakers
  • Are comfortable in a start-up environment, are self-starters, and can implement new ideas
  • Have excellent references
