Key Responsibilities:

  • Review disputes between healthcare providers and health plans, making fair payment determinations based on all relevant documents.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for complex appeals and hearings, providing clear and accurate resolutions.
  • Evaluate data to ensure compliance with regulations or make necessary exceptions when applicable.
  • Use case processing systems to document all dispute steps and findings, ensuring clear communication with all parties.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Hours:

  • Full-Time: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
  • Training: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5 PM for the first 2-3 weeks

Salary: $25.00/hr

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • Law degree, paralegal certification, or registered nurse credential strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payment determinations preferred. Certifications may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with federal healthcare regulations.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in following established processes and procedures.
