Role Snapshot  

The Internship Program with WPS Health Solutions is comprised of four key components. WPS interns will primarily focus on the responsibilities within their functional areas, as it relates to their respective field of study. In a group setting, interns will collaborate on the “Pay-It-Forward Project” – the development of a resource to be utilized for future program participants. The third component relates to exposure to corporate culture and training to aid in future career successes. At the conclusion of the program, interns will participate in a final presentation for senior executives by showcasing their experience in the program and functional areas.

We are seeking a motivated SOC Analyst Intern to join our Security Operations Center (SOC). This internship offers an opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while contributing to our mission of protecting sensitive information. You will assist in monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents, gaining valuable insights into cybersecurity operations.

Minimum Qualifications  

  • Be currently pursuing a degree in higher education or recent graduate. 
  • Have experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Have experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). 
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. 
  • Basic understanding of network protocols, security concepts, and threat analysis. 
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools is a plus. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Detail-oriented with a strong desire to learn and grow in the cybersecurity field. 

Hourly Rate of Pay 

  • The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The starting hourly range for this position is $17-$24.

This role is a hybrid role in the following approved states: 
Wisconsinwith a preference to the Madison area.

To help strengthen communication, provide a sense of community, and improve the overall remote work experience, the assigned office community based on the position’s division is GHA: Omaha, Nebraska.
