About the position

The 3rd Shift Bagger/Packer/Slicer/Feeder position in the Bakery Department is a critical role that involves various responsibilities related to the packaging of bread products. The job requires the individual to operate band and reciprocating slicers, inspect products for quality, and remove any unacceptable items from the production line. Additionally, the role includes operating check weighers and metal detectors, collecting product specification data, and assisting in the racking off of products when equipment is down. The employee will also be responsible for rewrapping products, hand packing as needed, and stacking baskets when required. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is essential, and the employee will be expected to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. In this role, the employee will partner with operators to meet daily schedule attainment goals and will be expected to support and adhere to all Denver Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Quality Programs. This includes completing required quality checks and related paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. The employee must maintain a neat and organized work area, fully supporting all 5S initiatives. Effective communication within a team environment is crucial, as the employee will need to interact with operators on other shifts, maintenance personnel, supervisors, and support staff to ensure quality information flow in support of continuous improvement initiatives. The position also involves supporting SAP goals and initiatives, performing sanitation duties, and participating in audits and team concepts. The candidate's selection will be based on their ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, as demonstrated by passing the Physical Capacity Screening.
