About the position

Responsibilities

  • Assist in event room setup and takedown for both inside and outside locations.
  • Assist in the transportation of guests during events if needed.
  • Assist in the weekly building and infrastructure maintenance of the roughly 20+ acre property.
  • Assist in the maintenance of grounds and equipment, including lawn mowing, string trimmer use, edging, and weed pulling.
  • Perform tasks such as raking, digging, planting of different size plants and trees, watering, and working on irrigation.
  • Adjust sprinkler heads and apply mulch and pine straw as needed.
  • Paint, pressure wash, scrub, mop, sweep, and wipe down cobwebs as part of maintenance duties.
  • Trim palm trees and assist with minor repair of roofing and siding materials, as well as carpentry repairs.
  • Safely operate a utility vehicle or company truck/van as required.
  • Perform custodial and occasional housekeeping duties, including removing garbage and cleaning various areas.
  • Assist other Operations sub-teams (Food Services, Housekeeping, etc.) as needed and directed by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
  • Ability to be organized and remember daily and weekly tasks/assignments.
  • Must have a friendly and outgoing manner, with good interpersonal skills in dealing with teammates and guests.
  • Must work well with a team or alone and meet safety standards and service goals.
  • Must take initiative and have an eye for details.
  • Willingness to follow safe working protocols and standards for safety.
