About the position

As a Real Estate and Customer Experience (RECX) Director at Prologis, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Customer Experience Teams (CETs) dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our diverse customer base across 19 million square feet of industrial properties in the Baltimore/DC market. This position requires a strategic leader who is an expert in Property Management and Customer Experience, ensuring optimal market performance while driving departmental strategy. You will oversee a team of approximately 12 employees, fostering strong, long-term relationships with customers, understanding their unique business needs, and implementing innovative solutions to address their challenges. Your responsibilities will include coaching, motivating, and developing your team to create a positive employee culture that retains and grows talent. You will need to possess a functional knowledge of the acquisition and disposition processes, Property Management accounting, taxes, property associations, contract negotiation, budgeting, lease documentation, and building systems and equipment. Additionally, you will manage the team's response times in the Facilities Management system and partner with the Procurement team to achieve cost savings. In this role, you will lead the Essentials program, manage the contract services process, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will also be responsible for outreach to customers and third parties regarding energy, utility, and data requests that enhance Prologis's Energy, Mobility, and Sustainability programs. Effective internal and external communication will be crucial to ensure optimal customer engagement and vendor management. You will be accountable for the RECX team's performance, conducting crucial conversations, performance reviews, and employee development, while acting as a resource for escalated customer, vendor, governmental, and property issues. To succeed in this role, you will need to cultivate strong partnerships with peers and stakeholders, including brokers and investors, and foster an inclusive work environment where team members are proud to be part of the organization. This position requires a Bachelor's Degree and significant experience in commercial real estate or property management, along with a current Real Estate sales license in Maryland, Virginia, or DC. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management accounting software is essential, as well as strong analytical and communication skills. You must also be able to travel to multiple properties and work flexible hours as needed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 7+ years of commercial real estate experience or 5+ years in property management.
  • Current Real Estate sales license in Maryland, Virginia, or DC, or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the company.
  • Strong working knowledge of property management accounting software.
  • Strong financial reporting background to meet budget and financial goals.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce, YARDI, Facilities Management, and Roof Manager software.
  • Ability to provide superior internal and external customer service.
