As our business continues to grow, we are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team and help us shape the future of poultry production.BE PART OF OUR TOMORROW!We are currently hiring for: Maintenance SupervisorAs a Maintenance Supervisor at Holly Poultry, you will be the key technical resource for the production maintenance operation. Your focus will be on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem resolution across all processing equipment systems. Your role will involve organizing and overseeing the maintenance of all plant production equipment, ensuring maximum equipment uptime and resolving quality and production-related issues with an emphasis on continuous improvement. This will include troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.Key Responsibilities:Maintenance Oversight: Organize, assess, and facilitate the maintenance of all plant production equipment to maximize up time and minimize disruptions to production.Scheduling and Delegation: Schedule and delegate maintenance work assignments, ensuring timely completion of all tasks. Maintain records of all maintenance and service activities.Team Supervision: Lead a team of 4 or more employees, including hiring, training, assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring all maintenance personnel are well-supported and equipped to perform their duties effectively.Staff Training & Development: Provide ongoing training and skill development to the maintenance staff, enhancing their technical capabilities and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.Performance Evaluations: Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations, addressing any issues, and implementing disciplinary actions, when necessary, in accordance with company policy.Building & Equipment Systems Assessment: Regularly assess building systems and equipment to plan work assignments and project schedules.Preventive Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and mechanical repairs as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with processing equipment systems to ensure continuous operation.Contractor Coordination: Coordinate and oversee contractor work as needed, providing recommendations for improving work efficiency and maintaining project schedules.Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations set by Holly Poultry, including OSHA, MOSHA, and all relevant federal and state laws.Inventory Management: Monitor and track inventory of maintenance supplies, alerting the Facility Manager when supplies need replenishment.Project Management: Work on assigned projects and tasks, prioritizing work based on production needs and available resources.Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement maintenance procedures and contribute to the company's continuous improvement efforts, focusing on reducing downtime and increasing overall efficiency.Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsQualifications:A minimum of 5 years of food manufacturing experience (USDA and SQF preferred).At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a maintenance department, managing 4 or more employees.Strong people management and project management skills, including the ability to delegate effectively and handle performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.Strong troubleshooting abilities with experience in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.The ability to evaluate systems and facilities to determine maintenance or repairs required.Experience with Lean and 5S programs preferred.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, parts diagrams, and electrical schematic drawings.Formal training through prior work experience and/or trade school or technical college.Hands-on approach to maintenance work, providing leadership and assistance in completing tasks.Ability to work in a fast-paced, cold, wet, and refrigerated environment.Must pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug and background screening.Holly Poultry, Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
