Responsibilities

  • Evaluate complaints from a patient safety perspective and identify those requiring further evaluation according to global regulations.
  • Assess risk by providing guidance on clinical workflow and product usage to identify potentially hazardous situations.
  • Manage risk by identifying product safety issues and triaging complaints for further investigation.
  • Perform hazard evaluations and ensure timely complaint closure according to set criteria.
  • Monitor quality metrics and ensure on-time submissions of safety and regulatory reports to regulators.
  • Provide objective evidence of the complaint handling process through compliant documentation.
  • Support business during internal and external audits of GE Healthcare's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Develop knowledge of GE HealthCare's Quality Management System and Product Surveillance activities.
  • Resolve issues using established procedures and consult with senior team members for issues outside defined parameters.
  • Collaborate with others to solve issues and request technical or clinical information as needed.
  • Handle simple data entry work requiring face value check and correction.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve the complaint handling process.
  • Comply with the GE HealthCare Quality Manual, Quality Management System, and applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in medical science, health sciences, or healthcare-related field with a minimum of 2 years of Ultrasound Technologist clinical experience, or a high school diploma/equivalency degree plus a minimum of 6 years of Ultrasound Technologist clinical experience.
  • GE HealthCare Product-specific knowledge - Ultrasound.
  • Prior experience working in a variety of clinical settings.
  • Ability to demonstrate GE HealthCare Operating Principles.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with the application of medical devices as it relates to patient safety.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze and process data and draw appropriate conclusions.
  • Prior experience working with Microsoft Office products.
