Data Analyst - 99% Remote ID-13980

This person will be working on a team of data engineers, BI Developers and other data enthusiasts, assisting with a variety of functions as it relates to the end goal of powering data driven decisions for the business. This includes structuring data, working heavily with SQL, moving data, building data pipelines, working with data quality and if there's time developing dashboards and reports yourself (although we have plenty of strong folks on the team that can do this as well). We also are looking for someone who enjoys interacting with the business and other teams to understand requirements and can provide solutions based on the goals of the business.

  • Synthesize and interpret data into a narrative of business performance and actionable insights in deliverables of various formats. Just the data.
  • Design, build, prototype, and deploy data analysis frameworks
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications
  • Conduct and support whiteboarding sessions, workshops, design sessions, and project meetings as needed
  • Researches and develops new algorithms and statistical techniques based on customer needs
  • Work in partnership with business analysts, application architect, application developers to build data transactions and warehousing systems
  • Structure large data sets to find usable information
  • Work with a team of analysts and other associates to process information
  • Work with executives and other business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Make effective and decisive decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience with Data Analysis
  • Strong SQL experience
    • Table structures, stored procedures, functions, views, select/insert/update
    • Data mining, data transformation, data cleansing
    • Ideally Azure SQL experience as well
  • Experience working with business users and other IT team members to gather requirements regarding data projects, and documenting these requirements

Nice to have experience

  • Azure experience (the more Azure data services you've worked with the better)
  • Experience building data pipelines – any Python or Spark experience to help move data would be great
  • Experience with BI or Reporting – we use Power BI so any of this experience would be great
