Job description: Position SummaryThe Designated Station Trainer (DST) reports to the Manager of Aircraft Maintenance and delivers on the job (OJT) and classroom training to JetBlue’s Technical Operations Crewmembers. Training will occur on all shifts and include Hangar/Line safety, aircraft systems and qualification recurrent training. The DST will provide training to Technicians, Aircraft Support Technicians (ASTs) and Apprentices.Essential Responsibilities

Facilitate classroom and on the job training (OJT)Provide Hangar/Line safety trainingFacilitate aircraft systems OJT trainingConduct Respirator Fit trainingPerform Run/Taxi Recurrent training for specific fleetsConduct MINT seat OJTSupport ASTs and Apprentices as neededConduct Extended Twin Engine Operations (ETOPS) qualification trainingOther duties as assignedMinimum Experience and QualificationsHigh School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) DiplomaThree (3) years of diversified experience in aircraft maintenanceValid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant LicenseAbility to drive tugs, trucks, taxi aircraft, lift trucks, snorkel lift, boom lift and tractor and/or other maintenance vehiclesAbility to communication effectively; in both oral and written communicationAbility to crawl, bend, kneel, climb, and stoop frequently in confined spacesAbility to work under pressure in a team environmentAbility to remain alert to moving vehicles and aircraftPossess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets JetBlue Airways’ insurance standardsMust be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) BadgeAvailable for occasional overnight travel (20%)Must possess valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United StatesMust pass a pre-employment drug testMust be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is locatedAuthorization to work in the US is required. (Very Heavy)Compensation:The base pay range for this position starts at $85,280.00. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
