Role Overview

As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of everyone in the store, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining smooth operations. You will manage financial outcomes along with a variety of human resource duties across all departments.

Exceptional leadership skills are a must in this position. You will champion company values, focus on achieving targets, and guarantee an outstanding shopping experience for customers. Your leadership will be instrumental in steering the store according to company objectives and strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will involve:

Leadership and Team Dynamics:

- Managing recruitment, hiring, training, and performance decisions
- Building a strong communication culture by maintaining open channels with staff and utilizing feedback to make improvements
- Overseeing the creation of store schedules with input from supervisory staff
- Promoting employee engagement through recognition, performance evaluations, ongoing training, team activities, and succession planning
- Assigning responsibilities, nurturing team growth, and motivating team members to achieve high standards

Store Experience:

- Improving the experience for both customers and employees, while putting safety first
- Handling both in-store and external interactions with customers and resolving any issues that arise
- Designing a positive, customer-focused environment throughout the store
- Coordinating with company leaders to organize special events and foster connections with outside organizations

Business Management:
- Executing plans to meet profitability and performance objectives as set by company leadership
- Reviewing business reports and developing action plans to address challenges
- Seeking growth opportunities and maintaining accountability for store results
- Managing store finances, expenses, and resource distribution
- Supervising employee scheduling and payroll while working within labor budgets

Qualifications

- 4-6 years of experience in a leadership or customer-facing retail position
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Comfortable using computers and standard office software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform well under pressure with strict attention to detail
- Highly organized and efficient in handling multiple tasks

Supervisory Duties

This role typically oversees the Experience Leader, Process Leader, and a staff ranging from several leaders to over sixty team members. All supervisory responsibilities are carried out in accordance with company policies.

Physical and Work Environment

- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and hands-on activities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis, and over 100 lbs with help
- Regular contact with animal noise, pet dander, and live animals
