<strong>Description<br><br></strong>Hennepin County Crisis Services is looking to hire three Senior Mental Health Crisis Therapists to join their Cope team. These positions provide the opportunity to make a difference in diverse communities, enhance your clinical skills in a fast-paced team environment, and strengthen communities by improving the health of individuals and families.<br><br>Cope is a 24/7 mobile crisis program that provides crisis services in Hennepin County. Community members call Cope when they or loved ones are having a difficult time managing a crisis and/or are seeking community supports. As a team member, you will make decisions about an individual's safety in real time while assessing their strengths. Instead of managing a caseload, you will be providing individuals and families with safety planning and reassurance in times of crisis while determining their needs and resources. The Mental Health Mobile Crisis program operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. All shifts may require working overnights, weekends, and/or holidays. While these positions are designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin. New Employee Orientation (NEO) for all new benefit-earning employees is in-person in downtown Minneapolis. Details about NEO will be provided upon hire.<br><br><strong>Current Available Shifts Are<br><br></strong><ul><li> Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.</li><li> Monday to Friday, 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.</li><li> Friday to Monday, 12:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.<br><br></li></ul>A shift differential of $1.00 per hour will be paid for nights and weekends.<br><br><strong>About These Position Types<br><br></strong>These are full-time, benefit earning positions.<br><br>These positions are internally classified as a Social Worker, Senior Psychiatric.<br><br>Click here to view the job classification specification.<br><br><strong>In These Positions, You Will<br><br></strong><ul><li>Conduct initial mental health screening of adults, children, and adolescents in crisis via phone to determine client needs.</li><li>Provide mobile crisis assessment for adults, adolescents, children, and/or families in a client’s home, community setting, or through telehealth. </li><li>Complete mental status examinations, determine appropriate provisional diagnoses, and develop short-term treatment goals and intervention plans based on the individual's identified needs.</li><li>Complete documentation in electronic medical record system according to statute.</li><li>Manage adult protection calls received through the Social Service Information System (SSIS).</li><li>Collaborate and consult with other mental health professionals, case managers, and family members with the appropriate authorization.</li><li>Provide services including short-term therapy and bridge to long-term professional supports.</li><li>Provide clinical consultations to mental health practitioners. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Need To Have<br><br></strong><ul><li>Master's degree or higher in social work or closely related field and two or more years of post-master's degree experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting.</li><li>Qualification as a Mental Health Professional as defined by the Minnesota Mental Health Act. </li><li>Current licensure as one or more of the following:</li><ul><li>Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) by the Minnesota Board of Social Work. </li><li>Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy.</li><li>Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) by the Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy.</li><li>Licensed Psychologist (LP) by the Minnesota Board of Psychology.</li></ul><li>A valid driver's license, the ability to obtain a Hennepin County driver's permit , and daily access to reliable transportation sufficient to visit community sites throughout Hennepin County and occasionally transport clients (including children).</li><li>The a bility to work remotely from home, as needed, with reliable and secure internet. <br></li></ul><strong>Nice To Have<br><br></strong><ul><li>Experience:</li><ul><li>Providing therapy or crisis services to adults, adolescents, children, and/or their families in their home or other community setting.</li><li>Conducting mental health screenings.</li><li>Handling mental health crisis, including diagnosis and treatment of clients in crisis.</li></ul><li>Knowledge of:</li><ul><li>County and community resources.</li><li>Cultural differences in beliefs and practices relating to mental health, treatment, family structure, and dynamics.</li></ul><li>Ability to:</li><ul><li>Function well in unpredictable and challenging situations calling for sensitivity, flexibility, resourcefulness, and independent judgment.</li><li>Effectively interact with people from diverse backgrounds and/or historically underserved populations; bilingual skills preferred.</li><li>Work well in a group setting.</li><li>Apply strong therapeutic intervention skills.<br></li></ul></ul><strong>Candidates with fluency in another language(s) in addition to English are encouraged to apply.
