About the position
As a 2nd Class Operating Engineer at Hilton New Orleans Riverside, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the hotel's engine room equipment and machinery. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively, contributing to the hotel's commitment to outstanding guest service and financial profitability. This position requires a proactive approach to maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various engine room equipment, including boilers, chillers, pumps, electric motors, water softeners, electric generators, and hot water generators. You will be expected to perform all required periodic and preventive maintenance tasks to the highest standards, ensuring that all equipment is in optimal working condition. In addition to your technical skills, you will be responsible for keeping and maintaining accurate operation records. This includes recording and reporting completed repairs and identifying items that require further attention. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be essential in this role, as you will be working in a fast-paced environment where guest satisfaction is paramount. - Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all engine room equipment.
- Conduct all required periodic and preventive maintenance on equipment including boilers, chillers, pumps, electric motors, water softeners, electric generators, and hot water generators.

- Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention.
Requirements
- Experience in operating and maintaining engine room equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance tasks.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
