Job Overview:

The Acquisition Analyst (Mid Level) provides acquisition and contract support to the Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) Program. This role is responsible for preparing acquisition documentation, tracking procurement actions, and assisting with lifecycle acquisition planning and strategy. The position supports a variety of acquisition functions and interfaces regularly with financial, technical, and logistics personnel.


Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established the Government customer.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of acquisition documents including Statements of Work (SOW), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), and Acquisition Plans.
  • Track contract actions, funding documents, and task order modifications.
  • Support the development of procurement strategy aligned with FAR and DHS acquisition guidance.
  • Collaborate with program stakeholders to ensure contract requirements are complete, accurate, and compliant.
  • Maintain acquisition timelines and coordinate status reporting with contracting and program management offices.
  • Conduct market research and support source selection activities as needed.
  • Assist with data entry and validation in acquisition tracking systems.

Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of federal acquisition processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with DHS or DoD procurement systems and contract types.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:

Minimum Requirements/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Acquisition, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience supporting government contracting or acquisitions.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing acquisition documents and supporting procurement actions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and acquisition tracking databases.
  • Familiarity with DHS/CBP acquisition policies is a plus.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Security Requirement:

  • Favorably adjudicated CBP Background Investigation (BI) or Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) required

Travel Required: 10-15%


Physical Demands/Requirements: Work is performed in an office environment. Mostly sedentary work. Repetitive motion. Substantial movement (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer screen; extensive reading.
