This position is a great opportunity if you have experience as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), Teacher Assistant, Mental Health Technician, Paraprofessional, Daycare or Preschool professional. Using research-based methods, RBTs provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy to children in a center or home-based setting. RBTs work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in delivering essential behavioral services for children with autism.

Compensation: up to $17.25 / hr

Job Responsibilities

  • Adhere to company ethical guidelines and Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • Motivate early learners during program implementation in a 1:1 setting
  • Electronically collect data accurately to ensure the effectiveness of treatment
  • Implement written plans to decrease mild to severe aggression and challenging behaviors
  • Communicate proactively and timely with BCBAs, caregivers, and/or legal guardians
  • Calmly respond to unexpected behaviors independently and appropriately
  • Maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications and Skills

  • Energetic, empathetic, and passionate about working with children or adults with special needs
  • 18 yrs. old and high school diploma
  • Reliable transportation. Must pass a background and motor vehicle background check consistent with our company standards
  • Experience working with children and/or background in Special Education, Psychology, Mental or Behavioral Health (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be involved in physical floor play including bending and reaching
  • Experienced RBTs MUST possess valid RBT credential number on the BACB website
