The Operations Director is a key leader in the senior operational management of Dimensions, responsible for the day-to-day running of care and support services within the area covered by the office. The post holder manages a large resource, which must be well-led and maximised for its full potential. The role may involve registration with CQC or CSSIW. The post ensures services are delivered with a person-centered approach, promoting rights, choice, dignity, diversity, and value for money, in compliance with all organisational, statutory, and regulatory requirements, including CQC and CSSIW guidelines, as applicable, and Dimensions’ Standards, Policies, and Procedures. The role provides effective leadership to managers and staff to maintain and improve performance standards.

We are seeking candidates residing in London or the surrounding Home Counties.

About the role

Your main duties will include:

  • Leading staff and stakeholders to work collaboratively, making a positive difference for the people we support.
  • Having a comprehensive understanding of the homes you are accountable for and implementing best practice initiatives.
  • Leading and managing Locality Managers, ensuring effective team leadership aligned with Dimensions' values.
  • Ensuring compliance with Dimensions’ duty of care.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (and registering with CQC/CSSIW as applicable), maintaining appropriate records, and striving for an ‘outstanding’ rating.

About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • Level 4 LMC qualification (or equivalent) if required to be the Registered Manager.
  • Experience at middle management level or higher in the social care sector.
  • Results-oriented, proactive, with strong planning, organisational, and resource management skills.
  • Effective people management skills, including delegation, empowerment, motivation, and coaching.
  • Strong networking, influencing, and negotiation skills.
