We are seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to leverage expertise to drive insightful financial analysis, support strategic planning, and contribute to process improvement initiatives. The position is responsible for evaluating and presenting financial reports, preparing budgets and forecasts, and working as a liaison between business unit operations and Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leadership to achieve forecasted working capital and EBITDA targets through strategic financial planning and execution.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data through KPI’s, trend analysis, and by comparing actuals to budgets and forecasts.
  • Create and lead the presentation and interpretation of financial data to divisional managers.
  • Monitor working capital and advise the business on how to improve numbers.
  • Analyze historical financial performance, interpret results, and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses to address emerging business needs and opportunities.
  • Perform ROIC (Return on Invested Capital) and IRR (Internal Rate of Return) analyses to guide resource allocation decisions.
  • Assist in annual budget preparation regularly, monitoring budget adherence and identifying areas for cost optimization.
  • Work with business unit leaders to prepare quarterly forecasts and participate in meeting discussions about forecast vs actual results, providing insights into variances.
  • Assist with preparing a 5-year business unit and consolidated financial forecasts.
  • Support new business acquisition onboarding processes.
  • Ensure complete, accurate, and timely financial processing is performed.
  • Support accounting functions and ensure compliance with all company and group standards, federal regulations, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and implementation projects for the Finance group.
  • Assist with special projects including internal or external audits within assigned department or as part of a cross-functional team as required or assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant or master’s in Business Administration preferred.
  • 5+ years corporate accounting experience; 2-5 years in a financial analysis role.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience with manipulating and analyzing large data sets using advanced Excel tools such as pivot tables and v-lookups.
  • Operating experience with an ERP accounting system.
  • Ability to think strategically and provide visionary leadership.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting.
  • Skilled at solving complex problems and implementing solutions to resolve any accounting issues and discrepancies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and interacting with various stakeholders.
  • Experience developing financial reports and interpreting data.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Results oriented and able to follow through on commitments.
  • Process improvement and project planning experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and assume additional responsibility without prompting.
  • Skilled at motivating others to meet departmental goals and objectives.

Additional Information

  • This position requires occasional travel.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Shift is Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST but must be able to work outside normal business hours when required.
