This position is remote in the Houston area, candidates MUST reside in the greater Houston area and be able to work from home.

As an Account Representative, you will be the lifeline of the company. Working with customers in their financial situation and identifying the best means of recovery by negotiating payment terms with empathy, professionalism, and tact. Helping them to resolve their overdue accounts with dignity, transparency, and recognition of each individual’s financial situation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initiate or handle calls with customers by phone
  • Help customers improve their financial position by understanding their situation, responding with empathy, and creating solutions
  • Educate customers on account terms and payment plans
  • Negotiate and offer solutions for repayment that best suits the consumer and the business
  • Balance scripted conversation with natural rapport, and provide accurate and detailed documentation of account to ensure proper follow-up

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to successfully pass criminal background check, along with a drug screen
  • Ability to reliably work a base schedule of Monday-Friday (7:30am to 4pm) during Training.

After Training the schedule is Monday - Friday (8am to 5pm, or 9am to 6pm) with one evening per week (10am to 7pm). Occasional Saturday shifts (9am - 1pm) may be required.

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Proficiency with Windows and moderate typing skills
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve, quickly learn new things and strong individual drive and competition or achievement driven

Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles
- Knowledge of basic financial concepts
- Familiarity with medical collections and accounts payable
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently from a remote location
