Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for a 2ndShift Shipper for our Columbus, OH Distribution Center. We are looking for a hardworking, motivated individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs the day-to-day operations of the shipping department.
  • Packs and ships completed sales orders by using the correct number of boxes and stuffing not to exceed the 40 lb. weight standard set up by the shipping manager.
  • Maintains the quality of the product by looking for damaged bags or boxes.
  • Helps ship Freight orders and other special orders including Heavy Duty shipments and end of day for Next Day Air shipments, including Hazardous Material.
  • Performs daily maintenance to sales orders to assure the correct quantity goes out including incompletes.


Qualifications:

  • This position requires the ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to understand written and oral instructions.
  • This position requires the ability to concentrate and to communicate with management and co-workers regarding a shipment.
  • This position requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions that pertain to each shipment.
  • This position requires the ability to lift objects weighing seventy (70) pounds.
  • This position requires a strong work ethic and some schedule flexibility.


Additional Information:

The pay rate is $18.00 per hour, plus the opportunity to earn $200 a month in BONUSES.

The hours are 2:30pm-11:00pm, Monday through Friday.
