Position Overview

As the Distribution Center (DC) Area Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of warehouse operations, while leading a team of Distribution Center Associates in efficiently and effectively executing shipping / receiving responsibilities safely, productively and in accordance with company policies and procedures. You will be a key player in our supply chain operation, ensuring all DC operations run smoothly so we can ensure merchandise is being received, processed, stored, packed, and shipped properly to help us achieve our mission to get the right products to the right stores at the right time!

SHIFT: Tuesday-Friday 4pm-2am

A Day In The Life

  • Analyzes productivity, efficiency, and accuracy data to lead and drive team performance excellence and maximize individual team member performance and potential.
  • Leads and acts as an ambassador for Burlington’s Core Values, fostering an engaging, professional, and inclusive team environment.
  • Acts as a catalyst and action driver for complex, cross-functional, and interdepartmental assignments and special projects.
  • Practices everyday development by providing feedback, coaching, and development to their team – and receiving the same for oneself.
  • Ensures on-going training and consistent compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Effectively and confidently leverages technology, warehouse management systems, and reporting tools / programs to drive results and performance excellence.

You'll Come With

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or similarly related field) or a combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years’ experience leading in a high-volume distribution environment
  • Management/leadership experience in a supply chain distribution center environment
  • Experience implementing employee engagement, mentoring/coaching and development initiatives
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Warehouse Management Systems preferred
  • Able to read and interpret necessary policies and procedures to perform updates and operate systems and other programs within the Distribution Center
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to access all areas of the Distribution Center, including the Mezzanine platforms
  • Ability to lift and move boxes weighing 40 lbs. or more and the ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Bi-lingual a plus
