As a Skilled Maintenance Tech Associate , you'll perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Distribution Center equipment and automated conveyor systems. You'll perform repairs on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment utilizing VFD's and PLC's, and working with electrical systems up to 480V. You'll assist in training General Maintenance Tech Associates on department process and procedures. You'll ensure the upkeep of a clean, organized and full-functional distribution center environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment and system malfunctions promptly using blueprints, schematics, diagrams, technical manuals, and written instruction.
  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, sorters, multiple types of conveyors, labelers, and powered industrial equipment.
  • Perform equipment fabrications and modifications to include welding.
  • Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and the ability to explain the function of parts and process.
  • Completes minor and routine maintenance such as changing light bulbs, replacing filters, install and repair office fixtures and other building related repairs.
  • Leads and completes major repairs on equipment and provides root cause analysis.
  • Perform duties in compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Mentor and train General Maintenance Technicians on repairs and procedures
  • Able to work with autonomy to achieve department goals and identify needs
  • Ability to recognize codes on scanners and troubleshoot issues that exist
  • Knowledge of electrical issues and troubleshooting up to 480-volt systems
  • Knowledge of the sortation systems from rebuilds, parts breakdown, and calibrations.
  • Knowledge of Profibus/Profinet protocol standards and troubleshooting.
  • Open to training on other shifts to increase the overall skills of the department.
  • All other tasks as assigned

Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move boxes, tools and equipment weighing 50 lbs. or more and the ability to stand for extended periods of time, as well as bend. stoop, crawl, stretch, climb, and lift repeatedly. Candidates must be able to work in various climates and conditions both indoors and outdoors.
