Our team is committed to excellence, and we are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager / Branch Controller to join our Atlanta office. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing financial activities, managing staff, and contributing to operational success.

Position Overview
As the Accounting Manager / Branch Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations within the branch. You will be tasked with managing staff, controlling overhead costs, handling accounts receivable/payable, and ensuring month-end financial closeouts. Your ability to leverage advanced Cargowise and Excel reporting tools will be key in meeting and exceeding budget goals. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days of in-office presence per week in Atlanta, with long-term remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee all branch accounting functions, including accounts receivables and payables.
- Lead a team of 10+ staff members in daily financial operations.
- Control and manage terminal overhead costs, ensuring alignment with budget goals.
- Close month-end financials, consistently meeting or exceeding financial targets.
- Prepare and deliver sales reports using both system-generated and Excel-generated tools.
- Provide financial insights and reporting to support the sales team s objectives.
- Leverage extensive knowledge of Cargowise (minimum 5 years) to optimize financial workflows.
- Maintain a high level of proficiency in Excel for advanced reporting (minimum 3 years).
- Apply 10+ years of international logistics experience, with a strong focus on air and ocean operations.

Requirements
-Cargowise expertise with a minimum of 5 years in advanced finance functions.
-Advanced Excel skills with at least 3 years of experience in generating complex reports.
- Proven experience managing teams of 10 or more.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivables and payables and overhead cost control.
- Ability to handle month-end financial closings and achieve budgetary goals.
- Deep knowledge of international logistics and air & ocean freight operations (minimum 10 years).
- Must be able to report to the Atlanta office 3 days a week, with potential for hybrid/remote work long term.
