Responsibilities:
· Collaborate and communicate effectively with content-team members, editors, and other technical staff to produce quality content.
· Research effectively and verify accuracy of content.

· Craft detailed outlines based on learning objectives established in collaboration with team members.
· Write cohesive, grammatically correct text appropriate for a student audience at a specified Lexile level.
· Review materials, identify problem areas in content or pedagogical approach and raise issues to manager.
· Implement necessary changes to text based on feedback from team members.
· Communicate proactively about project progress, inform manager if circumstances prevent meeting deadlines, and develop solutions to address issues.

Requirements:
•       Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Social Science, English or any relevant study research field.
· Previous experience writing for or teaching middle and high school students.
· Previous writing experience with a minimum of 5 past writing examples.
· Proficiency with applicable technology applications and content management systems.
· Ability to demonstrate outstanding communication skills, which includes a thorough command of the English language, spelling, writing, and grammar.
· Must be able to prioritize, multi-task, and manage work for multiple content areas simultaneously.
· Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment.

 

Must Have for this role: 
•       Looking for a candidate who has strong and excellent experience in writing.
•       This candidate should have experience in writing the content for students.
•       Will be reviewing , drafting and making the corrections on the content.
•       Candidate who has experience in Social Studies content, ELA topics are needed.

 

Top Skills:
•       Candidate with good grammar and the strong communication mechanics.
•       Who has prior experience in Social studies topics with different levels of Grades from 6 to 12th grade.
•       Candidate with LEXILE experience is big plus.
