Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Analytic Recruiting Inc. is seeking an experienced Investigator to join its Corporate Fraud Investigations and Security (CFIS) team. The role involves conducting internal and external investigations related to fraud impacting the bank and its customers, with a focus on check fraud and financial crimes.


Responsibilities

  • Manage fraud and suspicious activity cases in CFIS case management system
  • Investigate check fraud, wire transfer fraud, ACH/ATM fraud, loan fraud, identity theft, and other financial crimes
  • Prepare Suspicious Activity Referrals in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with CFIS team members and cross-functional departments (AML/BSA, Legal, HR, Risk)
  • Review surveillance footage and extract images for internal and law enforcement use
  • Utilize internal bank systems and external records (credit bureaus, police, courts) to support investigations
  • Conduct interviews with employees, customers, and witnesses
  • Attend court proceedings to support prosecution efforts
  • Provide fraud-related counseling and training to employees and customers
  • Draft Security Alerts and Advisories
  • Participate in rotating on-call schedule and respond to incidents after hours/weekends
  • Recommend enhancements to security procedures based on investigative findings
  • Comply with all regulations pertaining to BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC; complete annual BSA training

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or Fraud
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in bank security or financial crimes investigations
  • Hands-on experience in check fraud investigations
  • Investigative experience on a fraud team (not AML/BSA)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency in PC and case management systems
  • Previous banking experience
  • Certifications such as CFCS, CFCI, or CFE
