POSITION PURPOSE:
The Service Team Member ensures "Best in Class" customer service from start to finish. Responsibilities include helping prepare delicious food, maintaining cleanliness, greeting/helping customers with their orders, processing orders efficiently, suggestive selling, handling payment/cash transactions accurately and professionally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work collaboratively with restaurant team members and management to achieve operational goals, maintain a positive work environment, and uphold company standards.
  • Greet and assist customers with their orders in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Continuously strive to meet or exceed customer expectations and satisfaction.
  • Assist in preparing food items in strict compliance with company recipes and procedures. May include, but not limited to, the preparation/assembly of various menu items, shredding chicken, preparing salsa/dressing, and condiment packing.
  • Process and assemble customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Apply suggestive selling techniques to complete the customer experience and increase sales.
  • Handle payment and cash transactions accurately and professionally, scrupulously following all El Pollo Loco cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Diligently follow all food safety, food rotation, and sanitation policies and procedures in order to maintain a safe/healthy environment.
  • Clean and replenish beverage stations, assist with dish washing, food/product inventory and rotation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, including dining areas, restrooms, exterior dining, and parking lots, using approved EPL policies and procedures, including PPE.
  • Continuously scan the floors for debris and water, and promptly clean to prevent hazards.
  • Ensure all paper and disposable items are well stocked and available for customers.
  • Welcome customer feedback and address any comments or concerns they may have in a positive and supportive manner without ever escalating a situation and seeking managerial support as needed.
  • Ensure that all feedback is communicated promptly to the restaurant management team for swift resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support restaurant operations.

Certifications
Obtain Food Handler Certification promptly upon hire, adhering to EPL policy and state regulations.

Education/Work Experience:
Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred but not required.

The pay range identified is the hourly or salary rate El Pollo Loco expects to pay for the posted position. This range does not include any benefits or bonus opportunities that might be available for the position based on position and eligibility criteria. Individual pay will vary based on a variety of factors including years of experience, industry experience, education, geography, etc.
