Job Purpose:
This individual will be responsible for various functions within the distribution center, such as receiving, stocking, loading, and unloading merchandise, picking, and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts. They will also be responsible for the safe operation of equipment to ensure no damage to merchandise, equipment, or facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Create all BOLS for the day
· Collecting, filing, and organizing office documents
· Monitoring picking progress
· Capturing and recording essential data as well as documenting it properly
· Interact/Greet drivers, confirm appointments
· Verify all paperwork and match it against our system
· Create appointments/add-on schedule
· Answer emails/calls
· Approve sales orders and create waves for the pickers
· verify everything has been received/shipped
· All BOL from Inbound/Outbound is in the shared folders as needed
· Update billing trackers
· Send any shorts or subs to Single Source
· Send all documentation at the end of the day to the accurate parties
· The warehouse clerk assists the Warehouse Manager with the day-to-day functions of the warehouse.
· Ensure that all goods that are loaded or unloaded match the relevant paperwork
· Keep the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintain equipment.
· Ensure efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules, and schedule
· Assist with warehouse inventory controls, which typically involved using a hand-held scanner
· Ensuring the proper labeling and tagging of goods and materials
· Ordering of supplies as well as keeping accurate records of inventory of supplies
· Maintaining outlook calendars
· The warehouse clerk ensures the completion of all paperwork relating to goods received and loaded.
· Monitoring the warehouse records and inventory and filing reports of discrepancies in quantities and damages to the supervision., etc
· Communicate with the Cold Storage facilities to coordinate inbound finished product loads and suppliers regarding the shipments and delivery of orders.
· Investigate inventory variances
