Job Description

Job Summary

As the largest online distributor of restaurant supplies and equipment, WebstaurantStore offers more than 430,000 products with fast, dependable shipping. Unlike most in the e-commerce arena, nearly all of our technology and infrastructure is designed, developed, and managed in-house, giving our teams the freedom to build and maintain custom solutions in a rapidly evolving market.

This consistent, organic growth is why we have a need for a Network Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll design, implement, and maintain the network infrastructure that supports both our internal teams and the broader Clark Associates organization. You'll collaborate with other departments to ensure secure, reliable connectivity and help guide best practices for network performance, scalability, and resiliency.
Remote Work Qualifications
  • Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
  • Access to a home router and modem.
  • A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
  • A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment.
  • The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.
  • Legal residents of one of the following states: (AK, AL, AR, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV, and WY).

We only accept W-2 candidates, H-1B sponsorship is not available.
Responsibilities

  • Configure and troubleshoot both site-to-site and remote access VPNs.

  • Analyze network traffic to troubleshoot issues and improve performance.
  • Provide end-to-end network support for a large enterprise environment.
  • Deliver high-level IT support, assistance, and troubleshooting for complex network issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including network topology diagrams and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other teams to analyze and resolve application-related problems.
  • Mentor junior network engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.
Working Environment
  • While this is primarily a remote position, occasional travel to other facilities across the United States is required.
  • Some tasks may involve working from heights using ladders or lifts.
