About the position
As a Houseperson, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the hotel, ensuring that guests feel welcomed and comfortable during their stay. Your primary responsibilities will include walking the assigned halls each shift to ensure that public areas are clean and tidy. This includes caring for elevators, guestroom landings, vending areas, and other common spaces. You will be expected to report any missing items or areas in need of repair to ensure that the hotel maintains its high standards of service and cleanliness. In addition to maintaining cleanliness, you will need to be organized, ensuring that all areas assigned to you are stocked, clean, and presentable. This role requires a strong sense of teamwork, as you will be expected to assist your coworkers by pitching in when needed, especially when it comes to heavy lifting or moving items that may be difficult for room attendants or guests to handle alone. As a Housekeeping Ambassador, you will be the face of the hotel, greeting guests warmly and ensuring they feel welcomed. Your interactions with guests will be key in creating a positive atmosphere, and your friendly demeanor will help foster a sense of community within the hotel. Additionally, you will be responsible for adhering to the hotel's safety and security policies and procedures, anticipating potential problems, and communicating with management as necessary to ensure a safe environment for both guests and staff.

Requirements
- Basic English communication skills.
- Prior housekeeping experience is helpful.
- Ability to safely operate equipment such as a vacuum, carpet cleaner, and floor buffer.
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely.
- Heavy work - exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds of force frequently, and 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand for long hours.
- Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
